Pro Sports

Florida football fans look forward to the season every year as it is another chance to see the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers take the field. The sports team is a member of the Southern Division of the National Football Conference. The team has been a consistent playoff contender and won Superbowl XXXVII at the end of the 2003 season. They play their home games at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

The Tampa Bay Lightning is Tampa Bay's professional hockey team that is part of the Eastern Conference of the NHL. The Tampa Bay Lightning proudly won the Stanley Cup at the end of the 2003-2004 season. The sports team's home games are played at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa.

The Tampa Bay Rays are a Major League Baseball team based in St. Petersburg and are a member of the Eastern Division of MLB's American League. In 2008 they won their first division title and won the pennant. Since 2007 the sports team has had four straight winning seasons and three playoff appearances. Fans of Indy Car action look forward to the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg held every late March or early April.
